Mariah Carey shakes it off in her next video — so much so that she’s practically nude, twice.
Not that we get to see much, of course, but Carey keeps viewers guessing during the Jake Nava-directed "Shake It Off" as she costume-changes her way through a breakup that starts with her in the bath and ends when she drops her robe.
Carey reaches the realization she has to "shake you off" while lying in a bathtub overflowing with water and rose petals: "Just like the Calgon commercial/ I really gotta get up out of here." So she leaves a message for her lover while sitting on top of the dining room table, decked out in bright blue makeup and high heels: "By the time you get this message/ It’s gonna be too late/ So don’t bother paging me/ `Cause I’ll be on my way," she sings into the phone.
Still, her mind must not be that made up, because she manages to change yet again, before grabbing her bag and heading out the door as she sings, "So I packed up my Louis Vuitton/ Jumped in your ride and took off."
It takes her a bit to jump in that ride, because first she has to stroll down "Emancipation Street," where shops are called "So So Fetch" and "Pink Yet Lavender," and schoolgirls do a sort of shake dance at the pay phones. Jermaine Dupri, who produced the sparse, thumping, mid-tempo track, also pops up on a television screen and on street corners to give a little guidance, with suggestions like "Check this out" and "Bounce."
When Carey does get in the car, with a possible new love in tow, it’s time to leave another message to remind her ex that she’s found out about his cheating ways "with this one and that one/ By the pool, on the beach, in the streets." Her phone breaks up as she drives past the "Hollyhood" sign, so she tells him, "Hold on," singing, "Save this recording, because I’m never coming back home."
After performing the chorus in two more settings — the bleachers of a football game and a stage with her name in lights ("Mimi," that is) — Carey finally shakes off the song itself, lip-synching the second track where she does more of her vocal gymnastics, instead of the main melody.
She then slips out of her robe and walks into the sunset, with the glare obscuring whether she’s wearing anything at this point. If this is her emancipation proclamation, perhaps it’s something she should have done before the wedding in "We Belong Together."
SIOにはたくさん姫からファンへのプライベート・ジョークが隠されていましたが皆さんだいたい気付かれましたか〜？ちょっとね〜ＵＰされてたファイル自体がかなり暗かったので結構見えにくいとことかあったんですが、昨日メイキングも流れてたんですけど、そっちの方がいろいろとキーワードが見やすかったです。Jack's Cafeが並ぶあのストリートは「Emancipation St.」でした。また、「SoSoFetch」はちょうどDa Bratが紙袋を取り上げた次の店がそうでした。あれはちょっとＵＰにならないと見えにくいと思います。ちなみにこのSoSoFetchはJDのSoSoDefを絡めてます。
メイキング面白かったのでＵＰしてみました。なんか張りぼてなセットだらけで夢が醒めちゃうかも（笑）姫は長時間高いヒールを履き続けて足が充血したりして大変痛がってました。お姫様抱っこされて椅子まで連れて行かれてたのがさすがって感じ（笑）あと、最後のSIOダンスもスタジオでちゃんとみんなリズム狂わないように手拍子つけながら歌って姫を指導してました（笑）まぁゆっくりご覧ください。
まぁ他にもいろいろありましたが私が一番気になったのは監督のバンドエイド貼り付けた頭でした（笑）あっ、あと最近マライアお気に入りのエドハーディーですがDa Bratも
着てましたね。姫も後半の迷彩パンツに黒のＣＡＰと最後のMIMIをバックに踊ってるあの衣装も全てあのブランドからのものでした。この前は白の鯉CAPでしたが、今回は黒のタイガーＣＡＰでした。こっちのほうがいい。いつもの癖で同じもの買ってしまった（爆）神様私をとめてください（笑）

■ Mariah & No. 1: 'Together' Again
Once again, Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together" sits on top of the Billboard Hot 100. The single has topped the chart for nine non-consecutive weeks, interrupted for one week for the chart-topping debut of Carrie Underwood's "Inside Your Heaven."
It also notches a 10th week on top of the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and its popularity is gaining in the newest media outlet for music: mobile phones. On Billboard's exclusive Hot Ringtones chart, the title dethrones 50 Cent's "Just a Lil Bit" after four weeks with a 4-1 jump.
But "Together" is showing some signs of slipping. It has not carried a bullet, signifying continued airplay and sales growth, since returning to No. 1 on the Hot 100 earlier this month. It also surrenders the top spot on the Pop 100 after three weeks in the lead to the Pussycat Dolls' "Don't Cha" featuring Busta Rhymes, which springs 4-1.
Nonetheless, Carey's bid for summer listening ubiquity is further expanded with "Shake It Off," which jumps 66-50 in its second week on the Hot 100. It also makes a 63-46 move on the Pop 100 and rises 54-42 on the R&B/Hip-Hop list.

"Shake It Off" is the Hot Shot Debut on this week's Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart at #66!
It also moves up 22 spots from #76 to #54 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles.
In its 16th chart week, "We Belong Together" remains at #1 on the Hot 100 for an 8th non-consecutive week.
It also remains at #1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks for the 9th consecutive week out of its 17 chart weeks.
As we reported yesterday, Rihanna's "Pon De Replay" moves up to #2 on the Hot 100 - held back by the great airplay total for "We Belong Together".
With 8 weeks at #1, "We Belong Together" ties "Fantasy" and "Dreamlover" for Mariah's second longest running #1 on the Hot 100 (behind "One Sweet Day" which spent 16 weeks on top of the singles chart.)
It is also added to Mariah's total weeks at #1 which is now 69 weeks. Elvis holds the record with 80 weeks at #1.
With 9 weeks at #1, "We Belong Together" is Mariah's longest running #1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart ("Fantasy" spent 6 weeks on top.)
From Billboard Radio Monitor: Mariah Carey is responsible for both ends of the Mainstream Top 40 chart, holding court at No. 1 for a fifth week with "We Belong Together" while "Shake It Off" joins the survey at No. 40. Carey now has 23 chart titles to her credit at Mainstream, one shy of Madonna's mark at the format.

■ Pal Calls Mariah An Ingrate
An old friend of Mariah Carey feels she's owed so今me gratitude for kick-starting Carey's music career — and she wants everyone to know about it.
Brenda K. Starr, a dance-pop vocalist who employed Carey as a backup singer in the late 1980s, tells PAGE SIX in an extended rant that despite being responsible for hooking Carey up with powerhouse record producer (and ex-husband) Tommy Mottola back when she was still a nobody, Carey has seldom reciprocated.
"She's forgotten who she is and where she comes from, and she's never helped me the way I've helped her," says Grammy-nominated Starr, 39, who just released a salsa record, "I Dare You to Forget Me." "I've stopped talking to [Carey] because the only time she calls me is when she needs a favor."
Starr claims that she lost her own record contract with Mottola "to make room for Mariah. I never even got a finder's fee. I was left with nothing, resulting in me calling Mariah and saying, 'I need your help. I'm broke. I have two kids to feed, I can't get a record deal to save my life.' Her answer was, 'I really can't help you. I don't want to get involved.' "
Still, Starr says she was there to support Carey in 2001 when she had her much-publicized meltdown. "When she was breaking up with Tommy and when she was going through this nervous breakdown thing, I was the first to call her to ask her if she was OK."
Conceding that Carey loaned her $5,000 once to help "keep her house," Starr says her old pal "sends me a box of popcorn for holidays. I'm like, 'What? Does this girl think I'm hungry?' "
But Carey's manager, Benny Medina, counters: "Over the years, Mariah has generously provided thousands in loans, never seeking repayment, to Brenda and her family, as well as a variety of gifts to both her and her children. No request from Brenda has ever been denied by Mariah."
He also downplays Starr's role in kick-starting Carey's career. "Prior to signing with Sony, Mariah had a record deal in place with Warner Bros. Mariah has always, and will always, support and wish Brenda great luck and success."
But Starr isn't buying it. "Hopefully, one day she'll get off her high horse and realize who a real friend is, as opposed to all the moochers that go behind her back, suck up to her and take all her money."

Mariah Carey has denied reports that she cancelled interviews on radio after she failed to reach number one on last weeks singles chart. Radio DJs claimed that she agreed to do radio interviews after being confident that she will reach number one, but after losing out to 2Pac and Elton John she cancelled them.
A source at Britain's Radio 1 said: "We were told that Mariah couldn't appear because she had to have a vocal rest. Let's just say I've heard better excuses." But Mariah's publicist said: "She couldn't be on British radio shows because she was in Germany."

■ More Karlsruhe Concert Photos
はい、ドイツの友達から早速写真が送られてきましたので全てUPさせてもらいました。さすが最前列だけあって障害物もなくうまく撮ってます（笑）ちゃんとハプニングの瞬間もね（笑）Friday賞を捧げましょう（笑）BBSにも書きましたが、この日のライブはリハーサルなしで行ったため、お姫様次に何を歌うかとかいつ衣装替えするかとかあんまり覚えてなかったようでセットリストの紙をしばしば見ながらかなり楽天的にやってたようです（笑）ドレスの紐が切れたときはびっくりしたけどすぐに照明が消され暗くなって姫は冗談を言いながら急いで着替えに行ったそうな。ニュースとかで騒がれてるポロリはないとのこと。ステージが始まる前とかカーテン裏から「皆もうわかってると思うけど、私はここにいるわ（笑）今、バンドとコーラス達の準備が終わるのを待ってるの♪」って可愛いこと言ったりして終始会場の皆を笑わせてたそうです。あと、大きなカメラを持ったパパラッチか何かしりませんが嫌な感じの男がいてひたすら写真を撮りまくってたらしく姫様もその男をすごい嫌ってたらしく、セキュリティにいい加減気が散るわっと怒ってたらしい。でも普通にカメラもビデオも撮れてて羨ましいっす。一様入り口でチェックはあったらしいんですが（笑）

Earlier today, Mariah arrived in Amsterdam, Holland. Mariah is staying at the Dylan hotel in central Amsterdam. On July 17th, Mariah will tape her performance on the Staatsloterij Show. The show will air on Tuesday, July 19th and on August 16th.

Cris, a spanish fan and his friends went to see Mariah's concert in Germany and they had the chance to talk to Trey and some others from Mariah's staff and they told them that Mariah will go to Barcelona (Spain). She will arrive on July the 21st. at night (between 9.30pm and 1am) and the 22nd. she will do some interviews for tv and radio and she will leave Spain at night. Her bodyguard said that the hotel is not decided yet, but Mark looked at the itinerary and he said that it could be the hotel "Eurostars Gran Marina" in Barcelona, a 5 stars hotel near the port and the beach. Also, Trey and Raychel said "MC WANTSSSSS to see the beach!!". So the fans think it could be that hotel. The nearest subway station is called: Drassanes (green line L3). Cris and his friends hope all the Spanish fans come to greet Mariah and tell her: WELCOME!!

はい、最近ろくな話（マライアの偽装腹筋ペン話、乳ポロ・セーフ話、問題児アリソン姉話）しか出てこずちょっとウンザリ気味なLowテンションなワタクシにさらに追い討ちをかけるひどい話が！先日ウエンディ・ウィリアムスのラジオ番組で新作のプロモのためにインタビューを受けたブレンダ姐さんが20分ほどのインタビューの殆どをマライアの悪口を言い続けて終わりました。ジーザス！何で？？？あまりのショックでちょっと信じれませんでした。簡単に説明すると姫と連絡がぜんぜん取れないようで電話してもチームマライア（主にマネージャーのべジー・メディナさんを標的）がひとまず取り次いでブレンダ姐がメッセージを残しても姫に伝わってないらしい。で、用あるときだけ連絡してくるって言ってます。あと、Mimiっていうニックネームは偽 物よ！っとも。他にもB姐の結婚式に姫を招待しても着てくれなかったとか...自分や自分の家族は家に姫を招待したりしてあげてたのに、彼女からは全然招待してくれない。とか（笑）ちょっとちょっと....ガキの喧嘩じゃあるまいし...こんなレベル低い話でわざわざ自分のプロモーション裂いてやるんですから相当嫉妬と怒りで平常心損失しています。ブレンダ姐の言い分もわかるけどこういう場で言わなきゃいけなかったことを考えると本当に連絡が取れないから強硬手段に出たということとある意味話題つくりのプロモなんでしょうか...。どっちにしても胸が痛いです。一日も早く二人は連絡を取り合って和解するべきです。姫がどれだけB姐のことを敬ってるかあなたが一番知っているはずです。

はい、デンマークのチボリ遊園地で行われた無料のプロモライブの写真です。先日のドイツとセットも衣装も同じです。３万人が集まったようです（ちなみに先日のドイツのライブはとっても小さい会場だったのか５００人ぐらいの超レアライブでした）。ドイツのライブではVOLの最後で着ていた黒のロングドレスの紐が切れたようで急遽衣装チェンジで最後のWithoutYouで黒のミニドレスを着たというレポートがありましたが、今回はハプニングはなかったんでしょうかね？（笑）WBTはMovie Awardsの時と同じイントロで始まってるみたいです。しかし最近、大阪のおばちゃんが好きそうな柄のトップ着てるお姫様。ちょっとウケます。

はい、皆さん、お待たせしました。ウィルス達をやっつけてやりました。敗北ながらの勝利ですが（笑）皆さんも気をつけましょうね。さて、注目のドイツでのミニ・ライブですが、期待外れといいましょうか...TEOMから３曲しか歌ってなかったようです。以外だったのはCMY歌ったんですね〜。もしかして先日HBFでウォンテッドされていた女の子と関係あるのかな？やっぱ最初はILTだったようですが、これIntroだけだったんでしょうか..。まぁツアー前の下準備ライブなんで欲は言えませんが...。相変わらず衣装替えが４回ほどありましたね〜（笑）ホワイト＆ゴールドの衣装が最高でした。

Coming off her first Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single in five years, Mariah Carey wastes no time in issuing "Shake It Off." The bouncy midtempo single finds the resuscitated diva dumping her disrespectful, cheating man while name-checking Louis Vuitton and Calgon. The tune is straightforward and simple - and the sparse thumping beat wisely doesn't distract from Carey's unmistakable vocals. At one point, she simply kisses off her ex with a voice mail: "Save this recording because I'm never comin' back home, baby I'm gone." After "We Belong Together" brought her back to radio big time, "Shake It Off" will take Carey's good fortune to the next step. - Keith Caulfield
早くも3rdシングルとなるSIOのビルボード評価がなかなかよいです。シンプルながらもリズムに乗りやすいテンポに日常生活によくあるものなどいろいろ出てきて馴染みやすいイメージがあるようです。WBTで一気にチャートの女王の力を開花しましたのでこの波にSIOはうまく乗るだろうと書かれています。ちなみにこれがSIOのジャケになったようです。雑誌からじゃなくて新しく撮って欲しかったけど...まぁこれ結構好きなんで私はいいです（笑）

■ Mariah's Sister Arrested for Prostitution
Mariah
Carey's (search) troubled, HIV-positive sister has been arrested for
prostitution — for a second time. Suffolk County police said they picked up Alison Carey (search), 43, after she solicited an undercover cop at the West Shore Marina in Huntington, Long Island, on June 13.
"She offered to engage in sexual conduct for $250 in cash," a police source said.
Explaining the long lag time between Carey's arrest and the public release of her family ties, another source said, "We don't ask for the family tree when someone is put under arrest for prostitution."
It was Alison's second prostitution arrest.
She was previously busted in April at her Huntington home, police said. She pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was fined $200 on June 2.
Eleven days later, she was back on the streets, police said. The new charge carries a maximum of three months in jail.
Alison Carey has been out of tune with her family for years. She has claimed in interviews that she started turning tricks as a teenager, and that her work paid for limos that took her younger sister to her early gigs.
In the early 1990s, Alison was so broke and strung out that her mother got custody of the young woman's son.
She gave birth to another boy, and spent years in welfare motels and sleeping in a car. But she later lost custody of that boy, too.
In 2000, she shopped a tell-all book about her life and her famous sister, whom she called a "vain and heartless multimillionaire." The book was never published, if it was written at all.
A spokeswoman for Mariah Carey did not return a call yesterday.
Alison Carey's lawyer could not be reached.

■『ライヴ8』報告
アフリカの貧困救済を訴えるため、7月2日に世界10都市で同時開催された一大ライヴ・イベント『ライヴ8』。東京公演を皮切りにスタートしたこのフリー・イベントは、世界各都市で何百万人もの観客によって目撃され、さらに10億人以上が、テレビやインターネットなどの生中継を通じて視聴しました。今回の目的は、英スコットランドで7月6日から開催されるG8主要国首脳会議（グレンイーグルズ・サミット）に先立ち、アフリカの貧困問題に世界の注目を集める狙い。中心となった英ロンドンのハイドパークには、20万人以上の観客が集結しました。また、米フィラデルフィアのフィラデルフィア美術館前には60〜80万人が集結し、1マイル（約1.6km）以上の人の波となりました。
マライア・キャリーは、午後8時45分頃にロンドンのステージに登場。「Make It Happen」「Hero」「ウィ・ビロング・トゥゲザー」の3曲を披露しました。彼女のパフォーマンスには、アフリカ児童合唱団（African Children's Choir）が加わりましたが、前日のリハーサル時に彼らの歌声を聴いて感動したマライアは、急きょ曲目を変更したのだそうです（当初「Hero」は曲目に入っていなかった）。なお、長年のコラボレーターであるRandy Jacksonが、彼女のバック・バンドでベースをプレイしました。

Last night, Mariah appeared on the live German talk show "Gottschalk & Friends". Unfortunately, another guest on the all-German panel was a 'comedian' named Oliver Pocher. During the interview, Mariah was constantly interrupted by Pocher who insulted her in German. At one point, Mariah had commented that he was being unfair and asked him how would he feel if he were in a panel with her and her friends speaking in American slang. Thomas Gottschalk, the host of this show and of the show "Wetten Dass" in which Mariah had appeared many times seemed to be unable to control his guest.
ただ今ドイツへプロモーション中のお姫様ですが、ドイツでは毎回登場しているWetten Dassの番組でとんでもない事件が起きました。この日、ドイツのミュージシャンやコメディアンを囲んでのトーク・タイムの時に、このバカなコメディアンOliver Pocherがマライアに対し、口に含んでいた水を笑いをこらえきれずか、マライアに向けて吹いてしまいました。この人、マライアが登場する前から結構バカにしたような口調でジョーク？を飛ばしてたようで姫が登場してからも、そのドレス小さすぎるとか姫が話そうとすると会話に割って入って邪魔をしたり挙句の果てに水を吹きだしたりしたようで、かなり最悪だったようです。そして英語が喋れないためマライアもあんまりわかんないだろうと思ってかドイツ語スラングでかなり失礼な言葉で話したようで、お姫様TVの前ということもあり怒りを抑えながらも「あなたが私の友達やJay-Zたちに囲まれてNYスラングで喋られて笑われていたらどう思うかしら？」（これは実際マライアが言った言葉ではありませんが、これに近い意味のような言葉を言ったようです）っとコメディアンに言ったようです。この放送後、かなりのクレームと論争が起こり、ドイツの各ニュース番組などで一斉に報道され、「マライアが怒ってその場からすぐに帰らなかったのは本当に素晴らしい。誰でもあんな扱いを受けると帰ってしまうよ」っとお姫様のプロフェッショナルな姿勢に大絶賛しています。なんか「うたばん」が頭に過ぎりました。

最新アルバム「MIMI」が全米1位を獲得した歌手マライア・キャリー（35）が、秋に来日公演を行うことが5日、分かった。会場と日程は現在調整中だが、日本公演を皮切りにワールドツアーをスタートさせる。マライアが公演を行うのは03年5月の日本武道館以来、2年半ぶり。

today, Mariah arrived in England. An hour or so after checking in her London
hotel "Sanderson" at about 7:30 PM, she came out to pose for the media and talk
to her fans. Mariah has hired the VIP bar of the hotel for the evening. Later
tonight, a reception party for "We Belong Together" will be held at "Funky
Buda", nightclub in Central London.Here are bits of information that Mariah has revealed to the fans who have waited for her at the hotel:
Mariah will visit Spain during July. The visit was scheduled for July 12th and has been pushed back, possibly to July 19th.
Mariah loved the 12" Picture-Disc of "We Belong Together" that's coming out in the UK on July 4th.
When asked about her "Live 8" song choices, Mariah's replied she will make the final decision on tomorrow's rehearsal. When fans suggested she sang "Always Be My Baby", Mariah said the song was not popular enough in the UK. She also said she would not sing "Never Too Far". Another source suggests that the songs performed by Mariah in "Live 8" will be: "We Belong Together", "Make It Happen" and "Vision of Love".

すご〜い、すご〜い、すご〜〜い！先週2位に後退したWBTですが未だに好調なセールスとモンスター・エアプレイにより見事今週1位に返り咲きが決まったようです。しかも今週のエアプレイは先週より1010万回増しの2億1219万1100人の人が耳にしたことになる大記録です。毎週自己記録を更新し続けてますが、本当にすごい事です。これで連続とはなりませんでしたが見事5週１位ということです。Congratulations MiMi!!
