Mariah Carey logs on to her pet dog's website every day

Her pampered pooch, Jack, has become so famous the diva's Japanese fans have built a site dedicated solely to him.Mariah is so fascinated with the website she regularly checks on to the news pages, entitled The Emancipation of Jack, after her chart-topping album.
The beautiful star who, when lonely on a recent photo shoot reportedly had Jack flown first class to be by her side, said: "I laughed out loud for 10 minutes when I found out about Jack's website. He really is a very cool dog. It's fantastic, I love it."

Is it every a little weird being that accessible to your fans?

I have a Jack Russell who’s so cute. There’s this one girl in Japan who dresses up like my dog and comes to concerts. This girl has a Web site devoted to him. So that’s pretty amusing.  [ September 2003 ]

His name is Jackson P. Mutley. but I call him Jack for short, says Carey of her Jack Russell terrier. He's such a star! He's been in my videos and built up his own fan base. He has Web sites dedicated to him. - one in Japan, one in the U.S.

"My ideal day would be spent on a Caribbean island with friends. Some tropical drinks, massages, swimming and, of course, we'd have to have Jack with us."

Jack is the current love of Mariah's life. A lively Jack Russell who boasts his own fan site and a Japanese admirer who wears a dog costume in his honour. "She's very devoted," Mariah laughs, before deciding that Jack is ready for his big reveal.

"He hasn't had his make-up done though," she jokes. "I think this will be his first interview."

Seconds later Mariah re-enters the room with her beloved mutt leaping up and down, trying to snatch a saliva-covered toy from her manicured hand.

As Jack dashes out in search of a gecko ("he just loves those lizards"), the conversation turns to Mariah's growing affinity with urban music. "It's a gradual evolution. It was a side of me that was stifled by the people in control of my early career."

Don't Forget About Us Music Video : Check Messages From Mariah





Mariah Carey has sent secret messages to fans in the video for new single, "Don't Forget About Us."

The sexy promo features the diva frolicking on a football pitch, while behind her is a wall covered with graffiti. The bright markings on the wall are in fact messages from Mariah. One is a thank you to the fans who set up the website devoted to her dog, Jack. Another is the number 17, which refers to the fact that, if this single tops the American charts, it will be Mariah's 17th No. 1.
