■ Mariah Performed On Eurobest



Mariah Carey visited Cannes (France) on Tuesday to perform at the Eurobest Festival, a contest with the performances of singers from all the European versions of Operaci�n Triunfo / Star Academy, etc. Mariah came out at the beginning of the event to say good night in the languages of each contestant country (English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch and Spanish).

Next up, she came back onstage with a blue dress to perform a medley of My All, Heartbreaker and Hero with the Portuguese, French and English contestants, just like she did on Star Academy (France) in November. After a commercial break, Mariah performed Boy (I Need You) wearing a denim jacket, jeans and a pink bikini.
And finally, she had to announce who the winner of the festival was; the Spanish contestant, Chenoa. This is what the Spanish singer said about it: "I never expected to win, and when Mariah Carey said my name, I thought I was going to collapse".

■ Mariah Carey Brings Her Own Cook

Mariah Carey proved just how much of a good dinner guest she is on a visit to a friend's London home - when she turned up with her own chef. The singing superstar, 33, was slated to eat a meal at a friend's home on 20 March 2003 in the British capital, where she's promoting her latest single "Boy (I Need You)".
But the New York native was running late from taping a spot on British music show Top Of The Pops, and didn't want her friend to have to cook for her and her other guests at that late hour. A source says, "When the show finished at about 10pm, her driver took Mariah and her chef round to the friend's house."
The whole group then went to a local Tesco supermarket, where they bought a few ingredients for the chicken dish Carey's chef cooked. One of the singer's impressed companions notes, "Mariah's the perfect dinner party guest."

UK滞在中友達の家で夕食を楽しむMariahでしたが仕事のスケジュールが遅くなってしまい夜遅くに友達の家に訪問することになった為、自分の専属コックを一緒に連れて行き食事を作ってもらって楽しんだようです。

Wednesday 19 March

Mariah will arrive at her hotel between 2.30am and 10am. The hotel is not confirmed yet but its likely to be either Dorchester or Claridges. She will leave the hotel at 6.30pm to go and do the Graham Norton show. This show will start at 7.30pm and will air on the 28 MArch 2003 as the season finale.

Thursday 20 March

Mariah will leave her hotel around 6pm to do the TOTP show.

Friday 21 March

Mariah will be doing around 5 radio stations and the Launch Party.  She will be doing Radio 1 and the show will air : according to Trev Nelson, Mariah will be on the Radio 1 RnB chart show on saturday (3-5).

Monday 24 March

Mariah will be in Switzerland [ Zurich ] on the 24 March 2003 and will do a signing session, a photo shoot with her fans and will
answer a few questions.  Bluewin and Universal give away 10 VIP-Access-Tickets.

As far as I can tell she will be arriving early 23 March 2003  and staying at the Doldr Grand Hotel and will from there carry out numerous press interviews.

3rdシングルとなるBOTHのPV撮影がファンをご招待し行われました。幸運にもそのビデオ撮影に参加できた人たちのレビューがたくさん掲載されているので読んでください。どうやらこのＰＶはちょっとした短編映画ちっくなものらしく、ジャニス・ジョップリン自伝映画の「ローズ」をイメージをしているようです。Maraihの衣装は赤いタンクトップにグレーに長いスカーフを巻きベルボトムジーンズに金色の丸い輪っかの大きなバックルをつけているようで、その上から白い毛皮のコートを着ているようです。簡単に言えば70年代のヒッピースタイルのようです。ストーリーはどう展開するのかよくわかりませんが最後はカウボーイハットのイケメンと良い感じになるようなことを書いていた気がします。

再び延期のお知らせ

東京公演も延期が決定したようです。日程は7月6日8日10日に日本武道館で確定のようです。今朝からＨＰ等で掲載されている「ぴあ」から間もなく訂正のお知らせ等があると思われますのでチェックしていてください。延期の理由はワールド・ツアーの日程が全て変更になった為のようで、ツアー開始が延期になったというような感じでしょうかね。福岡はまだ確認が取れていませんがおそらく6月29日7月1日あたりだろうと思われます。

大阪・福岡公演が急遽延期になりました。まだ詳細はわかりませんがFM802に確認したところ大阪は6月24日26日大阪城ホール確定。

マライア・キャリーが、Busta Rhymesのニュー・シングル「I Know What You Want」のビデオ・クリップ撮影に参加しました。3月第1週の週末に、ロサンゼルスで行なわれたこの撮影には、他にFlipmode Squadや俳優のVing Rhamesなども参加。監督はChris RobinsonとBusta Rhymes自身が担当しています。なおこのビデオは、漫画家のFrank Millerと彼の超大作『Sin City』にインスピレーションを得たものなのだそうです。

先日シンガポールの新聞が発表していましたがどうやら公式発表されたようですね。シンガポール公演は７月１１日のようです。蒸し暑そ〜だね（笑）ところで見てみると、チケットランクがいろいろあるようでVVIPチケットの場合なんかまるで自分がMaraihになった感じの扱いだね（笑）しかし３万５千も出せばこんな美味しい思いできるなら余裕で出すのに（爆）日本でもやって欲しいな（笑）

■ Carey For Chicago Follow Up (RUMOR Alert)

Curvy singer Mariah Carey is following in the footsteps of Welsh rose Catherine Zeta-Jones - by starring in the Chicago makers' next big screen musical.
Carey, who made her movie debut in fateful 2001 flop Glitter, has reportedly signed to star in a remake of Guys And Dolls - opposite action hero Vin Diesel.

And insider says, "For Guys and Dolls they wanted someone who can really belt 'em out - a trained singer.

"Mariah is the most successful female singer of all time so she should make the grade."

只今全米の映画賞を総なめしている「シカゴ」というミュージカル映画ですが、これに続く次のミュージカル映画で「野郎共と女達」という以前F.シナトラが出演したミュージカル映画のリメイク版ににMariahとV.ディーゼルの出演が決まっているようです。

■ Mariah's B-day Fanbook Plan

Tahi is doing a b-day fan book to MC which will be given to her by MonarC and I am designing the cover for it. The fan book will mainly have letters from the fans but also some other nice things that will sure make Mariah laugh. If you would like to send a b-day letter to Miss M., just e-mail it to webmaster@mariahconnection.com. The paper has to be "letter size" (216 x 279 mm) and you can have colored text, graphics and pictures (the only thing asked is that it´s not more than one page). Deadline to send your letter is March 17th.

■ Mariah Miracle

Mariah Carey made it "through the rain", and in December she made a chronically ill fan's wish come true. Caleb Boulter, 16, of North Conway, N.H. got to meet his idol. A short time later, he suffered a terrible setback. Now, Mariah talks to Access Hollywood about what happened, and how she helped Caleb "make it through".

"Mariah Carey is the best, greatest, most incredible, sincere singer that the world can imagine," said Caleb. But just hours after their meeting, he nearly died after suffering a severe seizure on the plane ride home. "Probably the reason why that seizure occurred was due to all the excitement of meeting Mariah Carey and going to the concert," claims Caleb.

That elation, coupled with severe turbulence, apparently set off the seizure, a symptom that, along with chronic kidney disease, Caleb often suffers from. His parents, Chris and Al, told Access that "Quickly it rose into a major seizure, Caleb was jerking wildly, out of control."

Caleb miraculously survived. When Mariah heard the news, she sent flowers and a note that said: "Dear Caleb, I hope you feel better soon. God bless and get well soon."

Caleb feels an incredible connection to Mariah's music, especially the song "Hero", which lifted him out of a dark time in his life. "It just helped me dig deep inside and realize that despite being a little different from the general population, I can still be a special person," said Caleb. "It gave him the extra oomph he needed to deal with the different issues in his life," added his parents.

Caleb was speechless when Access delivered one more special surprise from Mariah -- a videotaped message: "We love you Caleb, you're amazing, you're an incredible person, keep going."

昨年にもこのニュースは報道されましたが、ドクターから助かる見込みはないと言われるほど重い慢性腎臓病を患っていたカルブ君ですがMariahに出会ったことで奇跡的に生命を維持し今もMariahのメッセージを励みに闘病しているようです。またカルブ君の両親は「Mariahが我が子に生きる力を与えてくれた」っとコメントしています。
